I’ve always been a sucker for animals in need.
As Mahatma Gandhi said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. I hold that the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of humankind.”

Had my mom allowed it, I would have gladly brought home every single kitten, puppy, stray, and injured animal within a 10 mile radius of my childhood home. Sadly, mom quickly put the kabash on my plans for converting our house into an animal rescue center. Maybe I missed my true calling.
The first few moments of the video below show a scared and possibly injured pit bull running through traffic on a busy freeway on-ramp. Thankfully, help arrives and the dog, later named Tyrion, is rescued.
I can’t help but think that if the rescue worker had arrived even a minute later, this story could have had a very different ending. Timing really is everything!

Today, Tyrion has fully recovered from the ordeal and (at time of publication) is eagerly waiting to be adopted. If you’d like to adopt him or other rescue animals, please contact the Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary. According to their website, they also have puppies and goats and alpacas in need of homes. (Oh my!)
Please SHARE this inspiring story with all of your friends and family and help this pooch find his forever home.
